We help you avoid the hours of waiting in hospital ERs for non-emergency issues:

Skin Issues
Eczema, skin rashes, or infected wounds can be both painful and persistent. We specialize in treating skin infections, fungal infections, acne flare-ups, and allergic skin reactions. Our doctors provide a thorough clinical assessment to ensure you receive the correct treatment immediately.
Allergy
Allergy symptoms can appear suddenly, causing itching, hives (rashes), swelling, or difficulty breathing. We offer fast relief for mild to moderate allergic reactions.
Important: For life-threatening emergencies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), always call 112 immediately.
Minor Injury Care
Injuries happen when you least expect them. We provide expert treatment for sprains, minor burns, cuts (lacerations), and other non-critical injuries. Skip the long ER wait times and receive professional, immediate care so you can recover safely and quickly.
Abdominal Pain
Are you experiencing nausea, diarrhea, bloating, or sudden stomach pain? From temporary stomach bugs (gastritis) to chronic issues like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and digestive discomfort, our doctors provide thorough assessments and effective treatments to help you feel better fast.
Headache & Migraine
Do you suffer from recurring headaches or severe migraine attacks? We help you identify the underlying cause and provide specialized treatment to alleviate your symptoms. Avoid the long waits at standard health clinics (vårdcentralen) and get rapid relief from our specialists.
Strep Throat
A sore throat, fever, and swollen tonsils are common signs of strep throat. We perform rapid strep testing to determine if your infection is bacterial or viral, ensuring you receive the correct treatment immediately. Get the care you need quickly and put your mind at ease.
Middle Ear Infections
Ear infections (otitis media) can be incredibly painful, especially for children. We offer fast diagnosis and treatment for earaches, ear pressure (clogged ears), and fluid behind the eardrum. Get quick relief and avoid the frustration of long waiting lists.
Urinary Tract Infection
Do you have a burning sensation during urination, a frequent urge to go, or lower abdominal pain? We offer rapid UTI testing and immediate treatment for cystitis and other urological concerns. Our goal is to provide fast, effective care so you can recover quickly.
When to Go to the Emergency Room (ER)
What We DO NOT Treat at Our Urgent Care Clinic
If you experience any of the following emergency symptoms, seek immediate medical attention at an Emergency Department (A&E) or call 112.
Respiratory Distress or Severe Shortness of Breath
If you have difficulty breathing or are experiencing severe respiratory distress, you must seek immediate care at an emergency room or call 112.
Chest Pain or Suspected Heart Attack
Chest pain, pressure in the chest, or pain radiating to the arms or jaw can be signs of a heart attack (myocardial infarction) and require immediate emergency care. We do not accept patients with suspected heart problems—if you have these symptoms, call 112 directly.
Stroke Symptoms
If you experience sudden paralysis (numbness), difficulty speaking, facial drooping, or dizziness, seek immediate care at an emergency department or call 112. A stroke requires immediate medical intervention to minimize the risk of serious long-term effects.
Severe Abdominal Pain
Intense stomach pain, especially if it appears suddenly, can be a sign of serious conditions such as appendicitis, bowel obstruction, or internal bleeding. Seek emergency care if you have severe, persistent abdominal pain.
Severe Headache & Neurological Symptoms
If you experience a sudden, extreme headache that feels different from previous migraines, or if a headache is accompanied by nausea, vision changes, or altered consciousness, it could indicate a brain hemorrhage or meningitis. Call 112 or go to the ER immediately.
Major Trauma & Serious Accidents
Have you been involved in a traffic accident, a fall from a height, or another serious accident? We do not treat extensive injuries that require surgery, advanced imaging (CT/MRI), or specialist trauma care. For suspected internal injuries, fractures, or heavy bleeding, always go to the emergency room.

Urgent Care in Sweden: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is "Urgent Care" (Jourmottagning) in the Swedish healthcare system?
In Sweden, Urgent Care (Jourmottagning) is the essential middle ground between a primary care doctor (vårdcentral) and the Emergency Room (akutmottagning). Use an urgent care clinic like Mindr for non-life-threatening conditions that require same-day medical attention, such as infections, minor injuries, or sudden allergic reactions. This helps you avoid the 6–10 hour wait times typical of Swedish hospital ERs.
Can I visit a doctor in Sweden without being "listed" at a health center?
Yes. While the public system often requires you to be “listed” (listad) at a specific vårdcentral, Mindr is a private urgent care provider. We are open to all patients across Sweden, regardless of where you live or which public health center you are registered with.
Do I need a referral (remiss) to see a specialist or GP today?
No. At Mindr, you do not need a referral (remiss). You can book a same-day appointment online directly. This is the fastest way to access professional medical care in Sweden without the bureaucratic delays of the public system.
Can I see a doctor in Sweden without a Swedish Personal Number (Personnummer)?
Yes. This is a common challenge for tourists, expats, and business travelers in Sweden. Mindr specializes in treating international patients who do not have a Swedish personnummer. We provide high-quality medical assessments and ensure you receive the care you need while visiting or moving to Sweden.
Will my international travel insurance cover a private doctor visit in Sweden?
Most international insurance providers (such as Allianz, AXA, Cigna, and Bupa) cover urgent medical visits. While we require payment at the time of service, we provide a detailed medical report and digital receipt in English, which are the standard requirements for insurance reimbursement claims.
Do Swedish doctors speak English?
Yes. At Mindr, our medical staff is multilingual. We provide consultations in English, Swedish, French, Romanian, Hindi, and Urdu to ensure clear communication and an accurate diagnosis for our international patients.
How do I get a medical prescription in Sweden?
If a doctor determines you need medication (such as antibiotics), they will issue a digital prescription tied to your ID or passport, or a paper prescription. These can be collected at any pharmacy (apotek) across Sweden. Mindr doctors can issue prescriptions immediately during your urgent care visit.
Can I get a Strep throat test or UTI test with immediate results?
Yes. We perform rapid point-of-care testing on-site. This includes Strep A tests, CRP (infection markers), and urinalysis, with results available during your appointment. This allows for immediate treatment without waiting days for external lab results.
How much does a private doctor cost in Sweden?
Private healthcare costs in Sweden are transparent at Mindr:
Patients with a Swedish Personal Number: 1750 SEK
International Patients (without personnummer): 3200 SEK
Diagnostic Tests: Typically 250–500 SEK.
EKG: 800 SEK.
Are there flexible payment options for medical care in Sweden?
Yes. For residents of Sweden, we offer flexible financing (delbetalning) through Medical Finance. This allows you to spread the cost of your treatment over several months, ensuring that financial concerns don’t delay your access to healthcare.
Can I get a medical certificate (läkarintyg) for work or school?
Yes. If your illness prevents you from working or attending school, our doctors can issue a medical certificate (läkarintyg) during your visit. In Sweden, an employer usually requires a certificate after the 7th day of illness, but some private insurance policies or travel providers may require one sooner. We provide the documentation necessary to validate your absence or support an insurance claim.
Do you offer medical consultations for children and families?
Yes. Mindr provides pediatric urgent care for children. We understand that childhood illnesses like ear infections, high fevers, and rashes can be stressful for parents. Our clinic offers a calm, child-friendly environment where your family can receive a thorough medical assessment and treatment plan without the long, overwhelming wait times of a public pediatric ER (barnakuten).
What should I do if I need medical help when Mindr is closed?
Mindr offers some of the most accessible urgent care hours in Sweden, remaining open weekdays from 07:00–23:00 and weekends from 08:00–20:00.
After-Hours Support: If you have a non-life-threatening issue outside of our opening hours, you can email us at info@mindr.se and we will prioritize your request as soon as we reopen.
Medical Emergencies: However, if you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency—such as severe difficulty breathing, suspected heart attack symptoms, or major trauma—you must bypass urgent care and dial 112 immediately or go to the nearest hospital Emergency Department (akutmottagning).
