Jag behövde en ultraljudsundersökning av sköldkörteln och blodprover efter en operation som jag genomgick i Danmark. Eftersom ingreppet utfördes utomlands vägrade privata endokrinologiska kliniker i Göteborg att ta emot mig, och jag fick vänta i två månader på en tid på Sahlgrenska.

I needed a thyroid ultrasound and blood tests following surgery I had in Denmark. Because the procedure was performed abroad, private endocrinology clinics in Göteborg refused to accept me, and I had to wait two months for an appointment at Sahlgrenska.

Our clinic is designed to make healthcare in Sweden simple for international visitors.

You can see a doctor, receive prescriptions and get medical advice without a Swedish personal number (personnummer) or BankID.

We have clinics in central Gothenburg and central Stockholm.

Urgent Care

Same-day visits for infections, stomach bugs, minor injuries and anything else that can’t wait but isn’t an emergency. Clinic visit 3,200 SEK, in Gothenburg or Stockholm.

Family Medicine

A regular doctor while you live in Sweden, for example while you wait for your personnummer: check-ups, ongoing conditions, repeat prescriptions and referrals. Clinic visit 3,200 SEK, video 2,500 SEK.

Medical Certificates

Certificates for travel, work and insurance, including fitness to fly. The receipt and medical documents for your insurer after a visit are included. Other certificates are priced by type, and we tell you the price first.

Blood Tests

Quick tests at the clinic, such as CRP, strep A, haemoglobin, blood sugar and urine, from 250 SEK. Wider blood panels, X-ray and ultrasound through our partner laboratories and imaging clinics.

Specialist Care

See a specialist without first going through a public health centre, for example in internal medicine, cardiology, geriatrics or psychiatry. Tell us what you need and we arrange the right specialist, with tests and imaging if needed. Specialist visit 5,000 SEK.

Hotel and Home Visits

A doctor at your hotel or home in central Gothenburg, Stockholm or Malmö, during opening hours and usually the same day. From 5,000 SEK.

We don’t take walk-ins. Every visit is booked in advance.

Online Doctor Consultations for Visitors in Sweden

International patients can speak with a licensed physician online through our TouristDr telemedicine service. This allows visitors in Sweden to receive medical advice, prescription renewals and follow-up consultations without needing a Swedish personal number (personnummer) or BankID. If a physical examination is required, we can arrange an in-person appointment at our clinic within a few hours. In these cases, the physical consultation can be booked with a 700 SEK top-up to the online consultation. You only pay the difference.

Yes. Licensed Swedish physicians can issue electronic prescriptions (e-recept) that can be collected at pharmacies throughout Sweden.

Most pharmacies in Sweden have English-speaking staff and are accustomed to assisting international patients.

What conditions can be treated at your clinic?

Our physicians treat a wide range of common medical conditions experienced by travellers and international visitors.

These include respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, allergic reactions, stomach illnesses, skin infections, minor injuries and prescription renewals.

Can I get a medical certificate while visiting Sweden?

Yes. Licensed physicians at Mindr can issue medical certificates for international patients when required.

These certificates may be needed for travel insurance claims, fit-to-fly documentation, prescription medication transport or work and study requirements.

Do you provide documentation for travel insurance claims?

Yes. We provide medical documentation suitable for travel insurance reimbursement.

Insurance claim documentation is provided free of charge for patients covered by travel or international health insurance.

How quickly can I see a doctor?

Usually the same day. We keep slots free every day for people who need to be seen quickly, and when you send a booking request we normally reply within 15 minutes during opening hours.

You can also see a doctor by video through TouristDr, often within a couple of hours.

Can international patients consult a doctor online?

Yes. International visitors can consult a physician through TouristDr, our telemedicine service.

This allows patients to receive medical advice, prescription renewals and follow-up consultations online without needing a Swedish personal number.

Where is your clinic located?

We have two clinics, both in the city centre: Kyrkogatan 44 in Gothenburg and Kammakargatan 66 in Stockholm. If you are elsewhere in Sweden, you can see a doctor by video through TouristDr, and in central Malmö we offer hotel and home visits.
